Voces Del Sur in concert

Voces Del Sur in concert

Described as the ‘authentic heart of South America in Scotland’, Voces Del Sur combine complex dance rhythms with seductively melancholic melodies in a performance both haunting and electrifying. They perform in Spanish, drawing on a wide range of Latin American folk styles, from sambas to Cuban son.

The Edinburgh-based band is led by stunning Chilean singer Valentina Montoya Martinez and Scottish virtuoso guitarist David Russell with double-bass player May Halyburton and Argentinian percussionist Gerardo Ballesteros.
