As part of Summer exhibition celebrating the women of Caithness, Lyth Arts Centre are hugely excited to welcome Gerda Stevenson, reading from Quines: Poems in tribute to women of Scotland, her new poetry collection exploring remarkable women from Scottish history. Gerda is a writer (The Apple Tree, Federer versus Murray), BAFTA award winning film-actor (Blue Black Permanent, Braveheart ), and singer/song-writer. This unique collection is a new landmark in Scottish women’s writing from a renowned poet and performer. With an exclusive writing workshop followed by an evening of readings from a flawless writer and performer, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The Writing Workshop with Gerda Stevenson will be at 2- 4pm, and is open to anybody interested in writing and/or poetry.
