Oedipus The Chief is the first part of a projected trilogy Oedipus North by Caithness playwright George Gunn, which sets the legend of Oedipus firmly in the Far North. Using the similarities and common origin of Celtic, Norse and Greek myth, Gunn presents a chilling look at how the North of Scotland could look in a post-fossil fuel world. This reading of the play in development, will be the culmination of a week-long residential workshop at Lyth made possible for Grey Coast by Hi-Art
