This year's show features a touring version of
the recent Wellcome Collection London exhibition Mexican Miracle Paintings
which includes over 100 reproductions of small paintings (ex-votos) from the
Mexican town of Real de Catorce. A unique glimpse into a custom from another
continent where even the poorest citizen may use a simple art form to offer gratitude
to the saints for answered prayers.
